Outside Taps Supplied and Fitted

Whether you are watering the garden, washing the car, filling the paddling pool or filling the hot tub, your garden life is made easier with outside taps fitted.

Having an outside tap fitted means that there is no more trailing the hose through the house, bringing all the mud and inecitably the hose comes off and floods the kitchen.

If you want the tranquility of garden life without the hassle, then having outside taps fitted is the answer.

Hot and Cold taps can be supplied and fitted from as little as £59.

Which Outside Taps Do I Need Fitted?

Many people don’t know that you can have a hot and cold outside taps fitted. You can even have a mains pressure flow or a normal water pressure flow.

If you let us know what you need the outside taps fitted for, then we can assist you in making the right choice about which taps and flow rate to get fitted.

If you are only watering your garden, then a single outside cold tap fitted would be sufficient. However if you are filling your hot tub or even washing your car, then you will want an outside hot tap fitted and in the case of the hot tub, you may want a high flow rate if it is an extra large tub.

GIve us a  call on 01355 202656 to discuss your job.

How Long Does it Take To Have Outside Taps Fitted Eats Kilbride?

If you are having a single outside cold tap fitted on your back wall and the water supply comes from the kitchen sink which looks onto the garden, then our highly skilled plumbers can supply and fit your outside tap in as little as 30 minutes.

This includes all additional pipework required and capping any pipes off so that you have an outside water tap with a mains supply which isn’t going to cause any damage on the inside of your house.

If you want a hot and a cold outside tap fitted and again the hot water supply is coming from the kitchen sink, then our plumbers will have your hot and cold outside taps fitted in around an hour.

If your water supply and/or heating supply is coming from another part of the house, then additional time and cost would be required to allow for the additional work in fitting the outside taps.

If you give us a call, we can discuss your job and give you a more informed answer about the length of time it would take for your home or business.

Which Outside Taps Can I Have Fitted?

We would always recommend that you choose your outside tap from us. That way we know that the tap complies with all industry regulations for an outside tap. However, if you have a specific tap which you want fitted, then we would be happy to carry out the work for you, assuming that the tap meets the British Standards and complies with Outside Tap Regulations.

There is still a host of outside tap styles and materials to choose from but the most common and standard model would be a brass tap with a backflow valve to prevent water from the outside going back into the water supply.

Preventing Your Outside Taps Flooding Your Property

The most important thing which you can do to prevent your outside tap from flooding your property is to have the correct British Standard tap installed by a professional plumber who knows the industry regulations. If these industry standards are not adhered to then it is possible to have your outside tap back flowing water into your home or business leading to a risk of flooding and water infection.

If you do end up with a flood in your property, call your emergency plumber East Kilbride right away before any more damage is done.

How To Prevent Outside Taps and Pipes From Freezing

It is common knowledge that frozen pipes and outside taps can cause a real headache for a property owner and outside taps are at an extra element of risk being exposed to the outside elements.

This is especially true in the winter when the cold temperatures, frost, snow and ice can crack the outside taps and pipes, causing a leak. This can freeze, meaning that the only place for the water to go is back into the property.

However, looking after your outside taps is a simple process and one which you can acheive very cheaply at home yourself.

Make sure that your outside tap is fully turned off. Then protect it with an insulating cover which can be made at home from polystyrene or bought very cheaply from a shop or online for less than £5.

What is the Cost of Having Outside Taps Fitted?

We can supply and fit outside taps from as little as £59. If you have a water supply near your back wall where you want the tap, this would be all that you pay.

Additional costs may be added on if we have to create a water supply for your home or to pipe a water supply from another part of your home that is not near the back wall where you want the outside tap.

Any additional costs will be quoted for prior to the work starting so that you are fully aware of the final price. There are no hidden costs or extras. For this price it makes no sense to try this job as a DIY project when you can have a local plumbing expert do the job for you within 30 minutes for £59.

Happy Customers

Thank you guys for doing a great job. I was panicking so much when we came home to the flooding that I didn't know what to do. Your plumber, Martin was exceptionally helpful not only in stopping any further damage and preventing the water leak but he was also able to remove a lot of the water with some sort of re-direction of the pipe system. That's when we knew that we had a professional at hand.

We can't thank you enough and my 6 year old son now wants to be a plumber too so that he can help other people. I'll let him know where to get his training!

Leanne McIntyre- St Leonards
